Labor(ous) Day(s)

After a minor quarter-life crisis last week, I've decided to (try) and stay positive. I'm not sure what triggered it; just a weird combination of events converging all at once. But something a coworker said to me (about turning 40 in a year and not having completed her goals) triggered my sleepy drive to DO. Just 'do.' Do all the things I've always said I wanted to. And now I want to take guitar lessons (again), start swimming, buy that skateboard I've always wanted (laughter be damned), take voice lessons, run a 5K, travel more...all at the same time. No time like the present, right?

Recent purchases: Necklace from Banana Republic; tops from Forever 21 and J. Crew.

Book I'm reading: Ayn Rand's The Fountainhead and Jon Krakauer's Under the Banner of Heaven.

Song I learned on the piano this week: Chopin Op.64 No.1 (Minute valse), although I'm not very fast.

Song I want to learn next: Debussy's Clair de Lune.

Recently downloaded songs:
- "Mercy" by Duffy
- "Got to Have Loving" by Don Ray
- "A Hard Day's Night" album by The Beatles (purchased at the store)

I feel the same way, especially with 30 around the corner.

So jealous you have access to a piano. I'm just waiting until we own something so I can get one. I miss mine but my Mom got rid of it when she moved since I wasn't living at home and moving pianos aren't that fun.
