I had so much fun in Chicago this past weekend. Getting away from the silly stresses of my normal, everyday life and being around old friends reminds me how much I miss having my "second family" around. I returned home very relaxed and I hope the high of this mini-vacation lasts me until I'm back in Chicago next month.
Can't wait for: cooler weather. Illinois spoiled me.
I finally drank the Koolaid for: Mad Men on AMC and Gossip Girl on The CW. I blame boredom combined with itchy remote control fingers.
Looking forward to: Kathy Griffin and Avenue Q coming to Memphis!!

I'm in a [vampire] haze. See my "Books recently read" list in the left column.

I too miss our second family. I was so overwhelmed to see everyone at once I hardly knew who to talk to first! It's too bad that our lives have dispersed us so much. But also cool that when we see each other we can always pick back up again.
